Ahoora – All in blood with you
(40:40, Private release, 2007)
The Internet and the musical underground make it possible. The contact to the Iranian metal band Ahoora came about the internet. Naturally this style of music is not allowed and any kind of publication in this genre is illegal, so it wasn’t possible direct in Tehran, because the sound carrier would be taking by the administration. So there are Servers which you can upload an album in a country and download it in another country past away from the authorities.
As the main inspiration source they talk are about Iron Maiden and Iced Earth. But their second album “All in blood with you” has got complex and atmospheric parts, so you can’t dismiss a light progressive headline. Anyhow Ahoora feels in traditional metal at home, even if the 4 Iranian prefer medium tempo, as well as black metal atmosphere and don’t like to kick off aggression. Because of this there are compositions which lean on the 9 minutes border, which are good in respect of content and can absolutely be listening!
As aforementioned a transmission of the CD from Iran is not possible, the band find other ways to market their CD´s (among other things by friends in England).More information on the Website to the Band, Or, to say it by the word of the Rhythm guitarist Milad Tangshir: Stay Metal!
